2018 Annual Meeting
Bluestem Electric Cooperative held its 21th Annual Meeting on March 4, 2019 at the Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Wamego KS.
Approximately 110 registered members, guest trustees, five of the 10 scholarship winners and employees were in attendance.
Trustee elections were conducted by mail ballot in December and re-elected to the board were Dean Blanka and Richard Ridder. Newly elected to the board was Mark Diederich.
Guest speaker Suzanne Lane, Executive Vice President/CEO of Kansas Electric Power Cooperative of Topeka, discussed power supply issues and answered questions from the Bluestem membership and Brandi Miller, Kansas Cooperative Council's President/CEO, who announced that retired Bluestem manager, Ken Maginley would be inducted into the Kansas Cooperative Hall of Fame. Alos attending was Shana Reed, Director of Education and Training with, Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. .
